Before moving to Switzerland and opening PODOLOGIE RIGER, Tessa worked in a highly specialized Podiatry department managing complex foot wounds. She is not only a medical podiatrist but also a foot wound specialist and a non-medical independent prescriber. She has been involved with at risk patients for most of her professional life and as a result of working in the Diabetic foot field has collated a wealth of experience. During her time at the Royal Free London Hospital, she published two papers and worked within a multi-disciplinary team. Tessa's British Podiatry training is recognized by both the Swiss Red Cross and Swiss Health Insurance Companies and she remains registered with the UK Health Care Professionals Council and is also a member of the Royal College of Podiatrists. Tessa also worked from 2021 until 2023 in Limmattal Spital, Schlieren with at risk patients and continues to maintain her professional development. Bevor Tessa in die Schweiz gezogen ist und PODOLOGIE RIGER eröffnete, arbeitete sie in der Podologie-Abteilung des Royal Free London Hospitals, die auf die Behandlung von komplexen Fusswunden spezialisiert ist. Sie ist nicht nur medizinische Podologin, sondern auch Fusswundenspezialistin und ist in Grossbritannien als “Non Medical Independent Prescriber” qualifiziert. Den grössten Teil ihres Berufslebens hat sie Risiko- und Diabetikerfüsse behandelt. Durch diesen grossen Erfahrungsschatz sieht sie sich heute somit als Expertin in diesem Bereich. Während ihrer Zeit am Royal Free London Hospital arbeitete sie in einem interdisziplinären Team und veröffentlichte zwei Arbeiten in medizinischen Fachzeitschriften. Tessa’s Britische Podologie-Ausbildungen sind sowohl vom Schweizerischen Roten Kreuz wie auch von den Schweizer Krankenkassen anerkannt und sie ist auch weiterhin beim britischen Health Care Professionals Council registriert und auch Mitglied vom Royal College of Podiatrists.
